After watching the documentary "The True Cost" (which I highly, highly recommend everyone watch) I felt so guilty buying into the weekly fashion ads that took my email by storm. I've made the conscious decision to stop buying clothes so often and--when I do go shopping--to invest in pieces that will last me long term, are sustainable, and produced ethically. If you've never heard of the term "slow fashion" it simply entails this idea of purchasing reused clothes from second hand boutiques, thrift stores and shopping at stores that no longer produce their items at a rapid pace. In other words, shopping consciously and intentionally.
